Finding Presence in Uncertain Times

"In challenging times, our minds often wander toward 'what-ifs' and worst-case scenarios. But what if the most peaceful place we can be is right here, in this very moment?"

When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to get lost in thoughts of the future or regrets about the past. While planning and reflecting are natural, spending too much time in those places can pull us away from the calm available in the present moment.

In my recent talk, Staying Present and Hopeful, I shared that presence is not about denying difficulties; it's about meeting them with clarity and compassion. When we ground ourselves in the now, we gain perspective and can respond rather than react.

Simple Ways to Practice Presence:

  • Take a few conscious breaths. Feel the air move in and out.

  • Place your hand on your heart and gently ask, "What do I need right now?"

Presence isn't about perfection; it’s about returning to yourself over and over again.
